2022 Race Information
White Tail Ridge Corporate Park, River Falls, Wisconsin
We are proud to present the Seventh year of the Border Crossing.
The White Tail Ridge course will again challenge every type of rider. With a great mix of fast-flowing single track, roots and rocks, fast downhill sections, wide open fields, leg scorching climbs and our own signature elevated wooden berm. Whitetail Ridge is fast-becoming a Twin Cities favorite for riders looking for an ever-evolving challenge. Each race course is tailored to meet the ability level of racers, yet pose a challenge to keep things interesting. Whether it's a leg-churning climb or fun flowing downhill you crave, the trails at Whitetail Ridge will serve up something for everyone.
The race has evolved over the past years into a great community fund-raising campaign in which the local mountain bike club, Kinnickinnic Off-Road Cyclists (KORC) use 100% of the race proceeds to either build and maintain new trails at Whitetail Ridge along with promoting other mountain biking opportunities in the Twin Cities metro and St. Croix River Valley.
There will be rough on-site camping for those that wish to stay at the venue for the weekend and there are also a few great hotels very close by. River Falls and Hudson have an eclectic mix of restaurants and bars.
There will be a food truck on site (Pita Pit) for your after race refreshments.
Crank Worx Bike Shop will be onsite for any last minute needs you might have.
Please note: Exit either Main Street or Radio Road, go to Paulson Road and that will take you to Highland Blvd or Whitetail. From there you will see the race area.
WTR is always evolving and this will be one of the best courses we have ever had. The Sport/Comp/Expert loop will challenge everyone and has everything Whitetail Ridge offers.
The Citizen and Kids Comp will be on our new Green Loop. This Green Loop eliminates the big climbs and has no technical sections. We ask that any parent wishing to ride the Kids Comp race stay behind all the riders and act as sweepers. We will have course officials out on the course to direct the youngsters.
Sport through Elite will be on the same course. We are changing back to the old course. Hurt Locker will be included and Mullet will be eliminated. This allows the marathon riders to be on one course for the duration of the race. See maps below.
*Courses are subject to change based on trail conditions and discretion of the race director and property owner.
