Participants will ride a mostly single track course with numerous passing zones on the ski trail that will be moderately similar to last year. Max’s option will be run in the opposite direction this year and will feature a switch back climb for all racers. Experts/Comp and Marathon (for last portion of race) will ride a similar course but with technical spurs added in (including some new areas from last year (first 1/3 Twisted Sister)). The course will be closed on Friday afternoon/evening for marking but will be available on Saturday for pre riding. In the event of rain we plan to race (remember our inaugural race!) but with possible modified course/distance for races as needed. Laps for races are as follows (approximately 6 miles/lap):
Marathon top male and female will receive a custom granite trophy and special prize pack.
We look forward to seeing our friends and racers on Sunday.

The Minnesota Series Kids Fun Race is designed to give children an opportunity to compete like their parents in a positive and fun environment. The Race is free to children ages 3 to 12. Parent cyclists ride and race with the kids, providing motivational and physical support.
Race starts at 12:45 PM! Helmets are required. Register on-site only by 12:30pm.
Pre riding is allowed at any time prior to race day, the trail will be marked on the evening prior to the event. If you ride on Friday please do not alter course markings. Please always wear a helmet when riding on the trails. Race course will be the same as last year for Kids, Citizen, and Sport, whereas Comp and Expert will have 1 mile of new singletrack (first ½ of the new expert section). If Comp and Expert are pre-riding by taking all Expert Spurs you will hit all of the race course + about 1 mile that will not be in on race day (last ½ of new expert spur).
Salsa Frame Raffle: Commemorative Cycling Skull Caps will be sold to support trail development/maintenance for $20.00 and will give you a raffle ticket with a chance to win a Salsa Single Speed Frame. The raffle drawing will take place at the awards ceremony after the last race on Saturday. You do not need to be present to win the frame.
Concessions will be sold at the race to benefit the trails. Brats, dogs, pop, and what ever else we decide to bring. You’ll like it!
Prizes will be provided for 1st - 3rd place in each age class for Kids Comp, Citizen, Sport, Comp, Expert, & Pro classes. Top finishing Elite Group (Experts and Pros combined) will receive cash awards. See the MNSCS Guidelines for payout details.
