Registration is Open

Race #7 "The Modern Day Powder Monkey" - August 4th

Come enjoy a bike filled weekend in Duluth!

The MN Series Powder Monkey is once again teaming up with the Kraus Anderson Bike Festival to provide an epic bike filled weekend.  Please refer to https://bikeduluthfestival.com/ for more information.  Saturday events include enduro racing, downhill racing, short track racing, and an adventure ride.  Additionally, loads of bike companies will be present with bike demos and swag galore! Test ride the newest and greatest from all the big name companies!  Come see what the enduro craze is all about and test your technical skills. Or if going fast is the name of the game, Saturday evening is a short track race taking place right through the vendor village.  We highly encourage everyone to come Saturday for the KA Bike Festival, I can guarantee it will be time well spent!

COGGS and Spirit Mountain are once again excited to bring you a race course with unparalleled variety.  This year marks the return of a true test of your grit and stamina, 'The Return of the Powder Monkey'

An offering of the 6th annual Kraus Anderson Bike Duluth Festival, 'The Return of the Powder Monkey' is a great way to get outside and enjoy testing your limits. Whether you are a spandex wearing carbon fiber riding Elite, or if you are just pulling down the mountain bike from the garage wall for the first time to see what the fuss is all about, this cross country style mountain bike race has something special in store for you!

The Citizen (beginner) lap is a combination of fun flowy singletrack and doubletrack.  The Citizen course DOES NOT climb Spirit Mountain. If you are concerned about not being able to hack the course, you can do it!!! Grab your bike and get ready!

The Sport, Comp, Elite, and Marathon classes will all tackle the same course this year.  The course will be run in close to the opposite direction as last year. This will include a grinder of a start up the new “all weather mountain bike trail” to the top.  Your hard work will then be paid back in a fun, fast, and technical descent. New this year will be “A” and “B” lines to help reward those who have the “Send it” spirit in them.  The “A” line will feature a large drop and steep rocky chute where the “B” line will feature a rocky loam decent. Ride around will be available if neither is your cup of tea. From there, we will drop into the a mix of flowly and fun singletrack and double track.  (Sport) will do 2 laps. Comp and Elite Woman will do 3 laps. Elite Men will do 4 laps. And Marathon will do as many laps as they can.

Race spectators on Sunday only can purchase an all day, unlimited lift ticket (no bikes) for $10

For more great enduro, downhill, short track, and general festival information, be sure to check out  www.bikeduluthfestival.com

See you all there!!
