Cross-Country Mountain Bike Race
The Afton Alps cross-country course covers a six-mile loop, overlooking the beautiful St. Croix River Valley. These trails offer some of the best single track in the Twin Cities area, along with some great descents and climbs.
Course maps are listed below for 2012. We look forward to having you be a part of this long running event this year!
Food and beverages will be available for sale during race day. After race watermelon, drinks, and snacks are complimentary for all participants.
There is no camping on Afton Alps property the night before the event. Afton State park is located about 1/2 mile from the afton property and has camping available. There are also hotels about 15 miles away in Hastings MN, or Hudson WI. several camping sites are in the area as well. Gates for Afton Alps will be open at 6am on Sunday May 20th for participants and spectators.

The Minnesota Series Kids Fun Race is designed to give children an opportunity to compete like their parents in a positive and fun environment. The Race is free to children ages 3 to 12. Parent cyclists ride and race with the kids, providing motivational and physical support.
Race starts at 12:45 PM! Helmets are required. Register on-site only by 12:30pm.
There will be no bib pickup or registration at Afton Alps on Saturday, May 19th. However the course will be open for pre-riding with purchase of a trail pass from 12pm-7pm.
Race day registration and bib pick-up opens at 7:30 a.m. at the Alps Chalet. Registration and bib assignment end 1/2 hour before the start of each race.
Prizes will be provided for 1st - 3rd place in each age class for Kids Comp, Citizen, Sport, Comp, Expert, & Pro classes. Top finishing Elite Group (Experts and Pros combined) will receive cash awards. See the MNMBS Guidelines for payout details.

From St. Paul/Minneapolis take I-94 east to the CR-15 Manning Ave. exit(exit #253). Head south on Manning Ave. for 7 miles. Take a left onto 70th Street South, heading east for approx. 3 miles, then follow the signs into Afton Alps.
