Minnesota Mountain Bike Series

Cuyuna is an amazing place to ride – you really need to check it out.  I’ve been working on this project since 1995, so it’s really cool to now see it opening.  We might be using it for an MNMBS race in the future, or maybe for the new high school league, so could use your feedback, too.  The local community isn’t really sure that mountain bikers will travel to the Crosby Ironton area, so this Festival is a way to reinforce the notion that mountain bikers will come to a cool place to ride.  Nearly 30 years ago, Chequamegon started with 27 riders.  Help us establish this inaugural Festival so you can say “I was there for the very first one.”

Saturday, June 11    Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Festival, Day 1

9:00 am     Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Festival   Registration and Check-in – Crosby Memorial  Park

11:00        Grand Tour/Burley Parade – short ride from Crosby Memorial Park to trail network (road and mountain bike trails available) Mass ride all ages, with Police escort

 11:00        Demo Bike Test begins at Pennington Boat Launch – open to 4 pm
 Trek Time Trial pre-ride from 11 to 1
 Kryptonite Crusher cross country route available for pre-ride until   3 pm

1:00 pm     Trek Time Trial at Yawkey

5:00 to 10   Festival Activities in the Crosby Memorial Park
                     Kids Bike Parade, Kids Bike Race
                     Beer Garden, Food by Maucieri’s Italian Bistro
                     Bicycle Stunt Exhibition with Hans “No Way” Rey  in Crosby Memorial Park
