After rescheduling from May 5, the Buck Hill Birch Bump couldn't have been a nicer day.

Talk about a perfect day for a rescheduled race.

Remember back on May 5—the originally scheduled day for the annual Birch Bump? And there was still snow on the ground just three days before?

What a difference a month makes. This time, the day couldn't have been better.

"Today just turned out beautiful," said race director Scott Finne. "It was perfect."

Nearly 300 racers turned out Sunday—which is significant considering that WORS also had a competing event just 90 minutes east.

"Eau Claire had an event, so we had to make due with what we had," Finne said. "It was a great day."

That feeling was echoed by the racers.

"It was dry, but not too dry," said sport racer Audrey Baumgartner. " It was perfect."

Full results can be seen here.

Next up: The Great Hawk Chase in Duluth, on one of the best courses in the series yet. See you there!
